The Korg MS-20 is a classic two-oscillator analog monosynth from 1978. It’s semi-modular and has a very distinctive sound, capable of producing big, fat bass sounds, bright leads, and unusual electronic tones.
This collection of free sounds for the Korg Modwave is inspired by the MS-20, utilizing the Modwave’s MS-20-modeled filter. It includes bass sounds, leads, drums, and sound effects, all incorporating the classic MS-20 filter. I’ve utilized the new free-running LFOs introduced in version 2 of the Modwave’s operating system. Additionally, I’ve taken some liberties with the sounds, making some of them polyphonic.
To use these patches with your Korg Modwave, download the ZIP file, unzip it, and import the bundle into the Modwave via the Modwave Librarian or directly into the Modwave Native. These patches are compatible with the original Modwave, Modwave Native, and the new Modwave mkII.
