Welcome to Windows as a service, Microsoft have just released Service Release 1 for Windows 10 a week after the initial release of the OS. The update is KB3074683 and Microsoft’s support site doesn’t really detail what has changed apart from a very long list of files that have changed and will need a reboot after the install. In this new way of servicing Windows we are going to get used to these update packages rather than a big service pack.

This update includes non–security-related changes to enhance the functionality of Windows 10 through new features and improvements.

Windows 10 updates are cumulative. Therefore, this package contains all previously-released fixes (see KB 3074683). If you have installed previous updates, only the new fixes that are contained in this package will be downloaded and installed to your computer.
