Some UK readers will like this, and some wont.  There are some upcoming changes to the UK Freeview channels coming along soon, so you’ll want to do a “Scan for more services” soon if you’ve got DVB-T Tuners in your Media Center.

  • Quest (a channel from Discovery) will be coming along on Channel 47 soon.
  • Dave will be getting a “+1” channel on Jan 22nd
  • CNN will be replacing Nuts TV

And some good new for our Russian reader living in the UK, Russia Today will be joining the lineup.

I learned this from the excellent RadioandTelly.co.uk

  1. All very welcome changes as far as I’m concerned. Would be nice if MCE did a background scan every now and then and prompted you when it detects new channels.

    One day maybe?

  2. Didn’t MCE2005 do background scans, but it caused loads of issues as part time channels like BBC4 kept vanishing from the EPG?
