I’ve talked before about how much I like One Care but alas it doesn’t seem to like Windows 7.  Such a shame.  I was thinking about going and grabbing AVG or McAfee (I get this free from my bank account) but I’ve just seen a post from the Windows 7 team blog that lists some other alternatives.

If you don’t have working Anti Virus installed the Action Center should keep popping up to tell you, if you click on it’s balloon then you’ll be taken to a place where you can get Windows 7 compatible AV.  AVG is listed on there but not the free version.  It does work though, so dig through and you’ll find it.

I’m going for AVG right now, but that’ll probably change at some point.  Hopefully to morro (not tomorrow).

Don’t forget to let us know what you’d like to ask Microsoft about the Play To features in windows 7, just here.

  1. Great news, I’ll give it a try. AVG is getting on my nerves, keeps scanning when I resume from standby just when I need to use my laptop. FAIL.
