Microsoft have started rolling out an updated of the Microsoft Photos app with iCloud Photo integration for Windows Insiders on the dev channel. The updated app is enables you to access photos stored in iCloud directly from the app. This should make it much easier for iPhone users to share an interact with photos taken on an iOS device.
The updated app version is 2022.31100.9001.0 and you sign into your iCloud account from the updated app.
