The Windows 11 2022 Update (also known as 22H2) has been released and for some devices it will be available via Windows Update, but as Microsoft are controlling the rollout not all devices will show the update just yet. If you want to get the update now there is a way to install now and skip Microsoft’s controlled release.

In this video I show you the steps to get the Windows 11 2022 Update installed if you can’t install it via Windows Update. A word of caution first, if you are unsure of what you’re doing you should wait for Microsoft to release it to your device and upgrade via Windows Update. Having said that its really simple to use the Upgrade tool.

Head to Microsoft’s Windows 11 download page and download the Upgrade Assistant.

Run the tool and if you don’t have the PC Heath Check app installed the tool will give you the link to download and install it.

Once you have installed it, click on Refresh and continue with the installation.

The tool will then download and start installing the update.

After a reboot the upgrade should be completed and you should be able to try out the new Windows 11 2022 Update features like Start Menu folders.
