While the Windows 10 October Update may have hit a roadblock last week, so far the Redstone 5 update was been working well on my HoloLens. Microsoft are sending out an email to HoloLens owners letting them known that the Windows 10 October 2018 Update for HoloLens is rolling out and that is a mandatory update.
The update has some great new features like Miracast support, notification and new sharing options (see my guide) and upgrading is simple via Windows Update.
