snip_20160808140716-1024x735It hasn’t taken long but Microsoft have the first Redstone 2 build to Windows Insiders on the fast ring. This is build 14901 and the changes are all behind the scene with updates to OneCore the core of Windows 10.

There is one visual change with Windows Explorer showing notifications of new features. So far my Surface Pro 3 hasn’t picked up the update but my other devices have. Look out for a hands-on video soon.

Microsoft say know issues are:

  • Support for kernel debugging over 1394 has been removed, but will be available in an upcoming kit release. A work-around will be posted to the Debugging Tools for Windows Blog shortly.
  • Adobe Acrobat Reader crashes when you try to launch it.
