Over the weekend there was a batch of updates for Android media apps and I thought I would round up the changes. First up is Netflix for Android, Netflix normally don’t both to document the changes to the app but this time they say it has improved Chromecast support. Netflix and Youtube are my primary uses for Chromecast so I am pressed to see this update.
MediaMonkey is a great media player for Android that wirelessly syncs with the Windows version of the app and the update includes fixes for external storage crashes, better UPnP device discovery and fixes for UPnP Download. The beta app is free from the Google Play Store.
From Microsoft is an update Xbox One SmartGlass app for Android. This update enables some of the new features in the Xbox One, you can post status updates to your activity feed, record game clips and supports TV and OneGuide in new markets. You can find the Android version in the Google Play Store.
