This week Microsoft has its Build Conference where Windows 8.1 (Blue) preview will be released and Microsoft have kicked off the week with a preview of Windows Server 2012 R2 Essentials. This is the Blue release of Windows Server 2012 and it’s available for download for MSDN and Technet subscribers. I have been waiting for this release to build a replacement Windows Home Server to play around with. The final version is rumoured to be released in August. Also available is the Datacenter version.
