Earlier this year Amazon launched the Amazon Cloud Player in the US which enables streaming of purchased or uploaded music and today Amazon have enabled the service for the UK. The web site seemed to have worked for a while but until today the iOS version was blocked. Version 1.2.4 of the iOS version add supports for the UK, Germany and France.

Update: The Android app has also been updated

  1. Annoyingly I purchased music from Amazon mp3 just this morning and it’s not showing in the cloud player. Uploading them still counts against the 250 free song limit.

  2. That being said though, this solves a problem that I had with Amazon mp3 – you can now re-download your purchases, something that was not possible before.
