It seems Google are pushing Android in all directions and the latest is the set-top boxes. According to PC Pro Google are testing software that enables users to search TV,video streams and create a personalised schedule on the boxes.
The service is being designed with Dish Networks and Google are creating a user-friendly UI, whether this could challenge Microsoft’s Mediaroom business I don’t know. This project looks like its about set-top boxed provided by Cable/Satellite operators and not for enthusiasts but It would be interesting to see an Android powered box for the home
