This week I am talking to Sheldon Witney. Sheldon is a real Media Center enthusiast and we talk about the experimentation he has done to get Media Center working the way he likes it, from getting Sky working with Media Center to streaming HD content and getting a Apple TV to work with the rest of the system

  1. Hi
Regarding Sheldons comments on tuners in Win7. A lot of tuners (USB) from Hauppauge with the Ci and all tuners from Fire/FloppyDTV work well inn Win7.
The problems Sheldon talks about with code update to sky-card is a Sky/NDS problem. With Conax card ther are no update problems and all SD and HD channels and of course all pay-tv channels works 100%

  2. Hi Own

I am really keen to get the Full Sky without having the problems with codes, Do I need a Floppy DTV plus this Conax CAM card, Or I would really appreciate an email of links to get this setup

  3. Hi

Sorry, you can`t use Conax card on Sky. Sky uses NDS/Videoguard as security and their system makes problem regarding code update to card/cam.

I think Sky/NDS are waiting for Win7 and tuners who support PBDA (Protected Broadcast Driver Arcitechture) and Videoguard3

All you in Ireland and Great Britain shuld join and have a pressure on Sky to accept IDTV (TV with built in Cam support). In Norway and Scandinavia all providers
are and are going to support this, and therefore we can us the same Cam/Card in Fire/FloppyDTV and Hauppauge Ci.

    Willy
