Today at Microsoft’s AI event, Microsoft unveiled two new Surface devices, this time aimed at consumers. The new 11th gen Surface Pro and Surface Laptop feature OLED displays and are powered by Snapdragon® X Elite and Plus processors.
Surface Pro
Microsoft says the new Surface Pro is 90% faster than the Surface Pro 9, thanks to its ARM-powered processor. It has a 13-inch OLED display, Wi-Fi 7, and can drive up to three 4K external monitors. It weighs 895 g and starts at £1,049 for the X Plus version with an LCD display. For the OLED display, prices start at £1,549.
Surface Laptop
The new Surface Laptop comes in 13.8-inch and 15-inch models. Microsoft says it is 86% faster than the Surface Laptop 5 and offers Snapdragon X Plus and X Elite options. Prices start at £1,049.
As with all things Microsoft these days, the devices include AI features such as improved search, AI image creation, and live captions. The new Surface is Microsoft’s thinnest Surface screen but it does drop pen support on the device.
