I have not had chance to test it yet but the much talked about secordrun.tv beta has been posted
It looks like there is already an update out

Download the app and leave your feedback

“I just dropped a new build out that should fix the display problems with the 4:3 aspect ratio users! If you are running 4:3 and had a problem with the previous build just download it again and try the new one… please post comments to this post with your results”

  1. Are you using 64bit? I only ask because it’s running fine for me on Win7 7000. Not sure what could be different unless it’s a video driver thing though I don’t see how.

  2. This sounds like something I might want to try. I use a D-Link media extender, and I’ve been looking for an alternative to the Media Mall PlayOn app. I don’t feel like paying for an app that won’t show media outside the US, but I do like the fact that the PlayOn app will allow streaming of YouTube content. Is this planned for secondrun? It sure sounds like something I should be trying out. I *do* have a 64bit Vista set-up, so I am also wondering if that will present any problems.

  3. Tried it out last night. I tried it via an extender (hp mediasmart) and it let me see hulu but not full screen and with no sound. I don’t think extenders are on the support list yet anyway.
Also font were too small for 10′ experience and there is no concept for logging into Hulu to view your queue like PlayOn has.
It’s beta (I’d say alpha) code so hopefully these things will improve as time goes on.

  4. Adam no 32bit Win7

I need confirmation from someone else outside the US that they can get the SecondRun TV UI to load up in MCE ?

    Thanks
