Has anyone played around with this unit yet? I know a couple of people who have recieved them from EON, and from looking around the net it looks like it will export xml files of data to your PC. This may actually work with the new mControl power management power module.

  1. Just to expand, the ‘Current Cost Monitor’ is a smart meter for measuring electric usage in the house. There are three parts to the kit, a ‘sensor ring’ which sits on the electric cable into the house, a ‘transmitter’ which transmits data via RF across the house, and a ‘Display Unit’ which picks up the information. Information trabsmitted include, power currently being used, usage the day before, rough cost of power being used, power for the month, temperature etc.  The website is currentcost (dot) com
