If you want to be able to remotely schedule recordings with Windows Media Center then there is Remote Potato and if you haven’t got access to good EPG data then there is Big Screen EPG and now Remote Potato natively supports Big Screen EPG
Niall Ginsbourg has explained the configuration on his blog:
I'm pleased to announce that the latest beta of Remote Potato now has native support for Big Screen EPG (for Windows 7 Media Center). This means getting Remote Potato working with a Big Screen EPG injected Windows 7 Media Center System is now really, really easy - (almost) no configuration or additional tools are required (ie. BSXMLTVDump or intermediate XMLTV files are no longer required).
This new feature (native BSEPG Support without need for XMLTV file sources) - has been a collaborative work between myself and Carl Partridge (who makes Remote Potato) over past couple of weeks - so hope you enjoy the effort we have gone to - and big thanks from me to Carl for allowing this to happen and trusting me to include an additional BSEPG specific dll with his product.
