Today I interviews Todd Headrick from the Home Server team, the interview will be included in a future show but I thought I would post a couple of thoughts and some pictures of the Home Servers on show in Microsoft’s Press room.
The first thing that came over from Todd is how well the Windows Home Server platform has matured. There is a vibrant community around the product and a healthy ecosystem of developers creating free addins, also Windows Home Server scales from a single drive system up to a 16 drive system making it very adaptable. There is also a healthy selection of manufactures producing boxes with new OEMS like Acer joining HP, Tranquil and the others.
The team also have some interesting plan for future as you can find out in David McCabes interview with Todd on his latest podcast, now all we need is some kind of Media Center integration…
