With the Windows 10 May 2020 Update Microsoft reintroduced Bluetooth A2DP support into Windows 10. This means you can stream audio from Bluetooth device to Windows 10, so you could stream music or podcasts directly to your PC and playback via your PC’s speaker or headphones.

To get started you will need the Windows 10 May 2020 (version 2004) update. Microsoft have just started rolling out the update which you can read more about on my May 2020 Update page, there a couple of ways of getting the update (see my guide).

Once you have the Windows 10 May 2020 Update you will need a receiver app, the one I found is called Bluetooth Audio Receiver and is free from the Microsoft Store.

Next you should pair up your phone with your PC via the Bluetooth. Go to Settings / Devices and add Bluetooth device and pair up your phone with Windows.

Once you have your phone and PC connected via Bluetooth start up the Bluetooth Audi Receiver app.

You should see your phone listed as an available device, click on it and click on Open Connection.

You should be then able to stream audio from your phone to your PC. You can click on Close Connection if you want to disconnect the device.

In this video I show you how to set it up and how it works:
