Microsoft have the pre-order page up for the Surface RT tablets. It was there and now it’s not, the order page was up but its been pulled. There has been a lot of speculation on the what the price would be and it looks like the Surface RT pricing is close with the iPad pricing.
The cheapest Surface comes in at $499 for the 32GB model without a Touch Cover, it’s $599 for the 32GB model with Touch Cover and $699 for the 64GB version with Touch Cover. Compare that with the iPad, the 16GB is $499 and the 32GB version is priced at $599 without a cover.
The Surface type keyboard is priced at $129.
No UK price yet but if the 16GB iPad costs £399 in the UK then I expect the 32GB Surface RT will be around the same price. I was hoping that Microsoft would be more aggressive with the pricing. Will you be ordering one?

I’d buy one as long as they don’t gouge UK consumers on the price. £450 would be fair for the 32GB with cover based on current exchange rate + VAT.
