Korg Modwave ARP Quadra Sound Collection

This collection of sounds is inspired by the classic 1978 ARP Quadra synth.

The Quadra, launched in 1978, was a four-section synth that featured a Bass synth, string section, poly synth, and lead synth.

All four sections could play simultaneously, making the dual oscillator/dual layer architecture of the Korg Modwave ideal for recreating some of the Quadra's classic sounds.

The Quadra was used by iconic musicians such as Tony Banks of Genesis, Duran Duran, New Order, and John Carpenter.

This set of performances and programs aims to emulate the Quadra's sound by utilizing dual layers to capture the essence of its distinct sections.

Many of these sounds were employed by Tony Banks of Genesis in both studio and live performances during the late '70s, and some may sound familiar to fans.

A couple of these sounds support poly aftertouch, taking advantage of the Korg Keystage 49's capabilities. Stay tuned for a full poly aftertouch collection coming soon!
