In this video, I explain what the Windows 11 23H2 update is. Microsoft has just released Windows 11 23H2 as an optional update to Windows 11, and it will become a mandatory update in the near future.

Unlike previous semi-annual updates, the 23H2 update primarily focuses on servicing improvements and includes only a few minor feature changes. Back in September, Microsoft rolled out a major feature update to Windows 11 for the Windows 11 22H2 update and is also part of the Windows 11 23H2 Update. For more details, check out my video and article.

The update will be available as an optional update in Windows 11 and takes the build to 22631.2506.

The main changes with 23H2 are:

  • Chat is now Microsoft Teams (free) and is pinned by default to the taskbar.
  • The page for managing these components is in System Components listed in Settings Apps > Installed Apps. This is now on its own page in Settings System System Components
