Following on from my find of my old Yamaha DX100 demo tape (take a listen), I have uploaded my copy of the 1987 DX7S demo tape. The tape was produced by Yamaha UK for the promotion of the newly launched DX7S. The DX7S was a cut down version of the DX7II which replaced the ultimate 80s synthesizer the DX7.

The tape features demos of the DX7S along with some RX5 drum machine. While it’s not as cheesy as the DX100 demo tape it does give you an idea of how Yamaha were promoting the DX7S back in the 80s.
