Microsoft has pushed an end of support full screen notification in Windows 8.1. The popup says that January 10th 2023 is the last day Microsoft will offer security updates and technical support for Windows 8.1. The three options are “Remind me after the end of support date” , “Remind me later” or “learn more”.
Mainstream support ended in 2018 and I had to fire up a virtual machine to get the message, I haven’t been using Windows 8.1 for many years but there are still some people holding out with Microsoft’s old OS.
