Wi-Fi is great but there are times when you want a good old fashioned (and reliable) ethernet port. It could be to setup a router, configure a network or get a faster than Wi-Fi connection. Many devices are like my Surface Go and don’t have LAN port so this is where a USB-C Ethernet adapter comes in. The D-Link USB-C adapter does not require any drivers, just plug in the USB-C connection and you are ready to go.

The adapter supports up to 2.5Gbe and is also backwards compatible with 10/100/1000 ethernet networks. As you can see in the video it works straight out of the box and I had improved transfer speeds once connected to the LAN rather than using WiFi.

The adapter costs £32.99 on Amazon.
