Microsoft has announced today that the HoloLens 2 is now generally available and ready to ship to customers. The 2nd gen HoloLens is aimed at enterprise and commercial installations with no consumer device planned. The HoloLens 2 costs $3,500 from Microsoft resellers and you have to contact their sales teams to order one. There is a developer version available from $99 per month.
It would be great to see Microsoft remember they have a consumer mixed reality system in the form of Windows Mixed Reality but they don’t seem to talk about it anymore.
