My favourite device for tinkering with has to be the Raspberry Pi. I have used it as a media player, home temperature control system and even (unsuccessfully) had a go at installing Windows 10 on ARM on it.
The Raspberry Pi foundation has a launched a new model 4, which is a big step up from the previous versions. It supports dual monitors up to 4K, USB 3, gigabit ethernet and 3x the CPU performance:
A 1.5GHz quad-core 64-bit ARM Cortex-A72 CPU (~3× performance)
1GB, 2GB, or 4GB of LPDDR4 SDRAM
Full-throughput Gigabit Ethernet
Dual-band 802.11ac wireless networking
Bluetooth 5.0

The power support is now USB C and the two HDMI ports are now micro-HDMI. It comes in three versions 1GB for $35, 2GB for £45 or 4GB for $55.
The new Pi will be great for projects running Windows 10 IoT and I would be very interested to see if I can run the full Windows 10 on ARM version of Windows 10 on it.
