One of my favourite Windows Media Center alternatives is Emby and the team have updated the Android TV and Fire TV versions of the media app. The apps now supports SSL (secure HTTPS) connection to your Emby server which is a more secure way of connecting to your server.
Also in the app are video playlists and new video queue so you can queue videos for playback and then manage the queue as an on demand playlists. Videos can be queued from the detail screen and then they will automatically add to the Continue Watching row remembering where they are up to.
Other changes include improvements to the on-screen data information with a button to show a summary of the currently playing item and bug fixes.
