The Kodi team have released beta 1 of Kodi version 16. Code named Jarvis this release replaces DirectX 9 with DirectX 11 which means better compatibility with newer video cards, it also has improved handling of 4:3 stretching, better event logging and a new long press option for remote controls with limited buttons.
There are improvements for Android, add-on manager improvements and a very long list of tweaks and fixes. The download and full release notes are available from the Kodi website.
