Microsoft have released another Windows 10 Mobile build for Windows Insiders on the fast ring. Build 10572 has the same issue as the previous release where it will not upgrade from a current Windows 10 Mobile build so you will have to use the Windows Devices Recovery Tool to return your device back to Windows Phone 8.1 and then install the Windows Insiders app and download the update.

The good news is that the new Windows Device Recovery Tool is much faster at flashing Windows Phone 8.1 back on to a device. I also found after completing the upgrade to get the best experience you should reset Windows 10 Mobile and then you get a nice clean Windows 10 Mobile image on the device.

Once you have the update on you will see missed calls notifications on the PC and have the ability to send texts on your PC with Cortana. You need a PC running build Windows 10 build 10565 or higher (the current fast ring build is 10565) and then when you miss a call on your Windows 10 Mobile device it will send a notification to your PC via Cortana. You can also sent a text from Cortana on the PC via the phone.

The new messaging app now supports animated GIFs and the ability to search your messages. Cortana can now track movie and event reminders including Uber integration. Other changes include the ability to download offline maps to an SD card which is great for the budget phones, you can mark photos as favourites and then they shuffle on the live tile, there are new context menus in the photo app and the storage settings are now common to both the PC and phone.

As ever there are fixes and some issues including you can no longer share photos with apps like Facebook and Whatsapp. You can read the full list of changes on the Microsoft Blog.

Look out for a hands on video soon.
