Version 1.12.0 of MediaPortal the Windows based media center system has been released. The release supports subtitles from H.264/AVC compressed TV channels as well as including Gamepad support.

For users of Closed Caption subtitling, MP 1.12 can now decode and display Closed Captions from TV channels using H.264/AVC video compression (in addition to the existing MPEG2 capability).
Now supporting a wide range of gamepads out-of-the-box through our improved HID input device option. Usage for common gamepads is illustrated here. Note that MCE remote and keyboard support is now covered by MP’s HID input device management.
