One again another selection of Windows Phone apps for the Microsoft Band have been updated. Pimp My Band, Band Pro, JamBand and Band Companion have all been updated.
Pimp My Band is one of my favourite apps for the Microsoft Band, it enables custom background and colours for the Microsoft Band. The update enables saving of layout for later use, making it easy to switch between Band themes plus there is a warning for Windows 10 Technical Preview users (as there are pairing issues when on the previw). Pimp my Band is free from the Windows Phone Store.
Band Pro is another customiser app, you can use this app to create a custom background image with photos and logos from a wide range of sports or your own images. This app now has improved image handling so you can zoom in a picture and you can search for image and logos via Band Social. The app costs 99p from the Windows Phone Store.
Band Companion an app that adds some extra features to the Band. You can use it to remotely take photos via the Microsoft Band and view the battery status on the Band (something you can’t normally do on the Band when not charging). The update fixes bugs that where preventing the background images from being uploaded to the Microsoft Band. This app is fee from the Windows Phone Store but you do pay to unlock some of the features.
I saved the best update until last. JamBand an air guitar app for the Microsoft Band has been updated and you can now play a Ukulele with the Band so you can jam away air guitar style!. JamBand is free from the Windows Phone Store.
