Windows Update KB3004394 causing issues for Windows Media Center DRMed content
A quick heads up to Windows 7 Media Center users who have TV shows recorded with DRM (which means mainly CableCARD recordings and not anything recorded on Freeview HD). Windows Update KB3004394 is breaking playback back of protected content on Windows 7 Media Center. Silicon Dust alerted its followers on Twitter last night saying that installing the update stops playback of protected content (live or recorded) and you shouldn’t install the update at the moment, if you have you will need to uninstall update to fix the problem. It doesn’t affect Windows 8 or unprotected content.
Caution to all Windows 7 HDHomeRun PRIME users – Windows Update KB3004394 causes problems for protected content. Do not install it. (cont)

If you already installed or got it via automatic updates, uninstall it through control panel. Note: does not apply to Win8 or non-CC tuners
