Since I have been using music streaming services with my phone and tablets it has meant that some of my old but still very good quality HiFi has been gathering dust. Taotronics have a neat solution that brings the two worlds together. The Wireless Receiver has 3.5mm headphone output and stereo RC connectors so you can connect it up to a range of devices, it supports Bluetooth 3.0 and A2DP for high quality audio. The device is battery powered via a microUSB port so you don’t have to have it plugged in all the time (you get about 8 hours of battery life) and in the box you get a MicroUSB cable, 3.5mm audio calbe and RCA cables.

In this video I take a look at a Taotronics Wireless Stereo Music Receiver, I paired it up with my Lumia 1520 and connected up the receiver to my Denon amp.

  1. Does it turn itself on automatically when plugged into power? That’s the fatal flaw on most of these for car or audio rack use – they turn themselves off, and you need to manually hit the power button when you get in the car or power up the rack.
