When Microsoft took over Nokia’s mobile division many thought that it could be the end for the Android powered X range phones but Microsoft isn’t ditching the devices. Today they have announced a new Nokia X2 Android powered phone. The X2 looks very much like the original X and has a 4.3 inch display, 1GB RAM, dual sims, 5MP camera and a 1.2GHZ dual core processor. Another change is the new home button next to the back button and what Nokia call “brand-new cool translucent outer layer”.

The phone costs €99 and Microsoft will be hoping it will bring new users into Microsoft’s ecosystem as it has Skype, Outlook.com, OneDrive and other Microsoft services built in. Whether it would bring uses to Windows Phone remains to be seen.
