The fantastic Media Browser server has been updated adding some interesting features. There are DLNA improvements in the server, you can now configure DLNA profiles for each device from the browser saving you diving into config files. There is a new way of grouping multiple versions of the same content together so you can have 1080p, 720p and 3D versions of the files linked and then when you watch the content from a mobile device you get the best version of that file for your device/connection combinations saving the server from having to transcode them. The transcoding engine has also been improved for the Android, Roku, iOS, Windows and Chromecast apps.

The web browser player has a new slide out menu for controlling Media Browser Players, so you can control multiple players from the browser. There is support for Next PVR plugin so you can pull in an alternate data source for Live TV.

The Media Browser team are also beginning to add localisation features to Media Browser, not all of the app has been localised yet and if you would like to help with the translations you can offer help via the server.

A nice set of improvements to an impressive media platform, download the server from mediabrowser3.com.
