Regular listeners of our podcast will have heard me go on (and on) about the one app that is missing from my ideal Windows 8 ecosystem which is Flipboard. Flipboard is an app that creates a personal magazine based on your own interests using Fliboard’s own content and most importantly your own content selecting which can include Twitter, Facebook,Google+,RSS, Flickr, YouTube and much more. I use it for reading my Twitter and RSS feeds and it’s a great visual way of catching up on your news feeds.

Yesterday Flipboard for the Windows Store was released, the app has all the features that make it great on the iPad and Android. Plus it has a live tile displaying up to date content, which works great as a large title. It works great in landscape or portrait mode and you can snap it off to the side.

It’s a great app even if you just use it for catching up on your Twitter feed, it’s free and available now in the Windows Store.
