A couple of months ago FourSquare announced they were working on a version for the Windows Store and today the app has been released. The app has all the features of the mobile app, you can check-in at your location, browse nearby locations and read tips. The app looks great and makes great use of the modern design language in Windows 8, you can swipe between sections of the app and swipe up to access actions like Check-In and add photos. One issue I found I that when you click on the map in the app it opens Internet Explorer in a side by side window (in Windows 8.1) and the app doesn’t seem to support split screen modes yet.
The app is free from the Windows Store.
Here are screenshots via the Windows Experience Blog.
