BBC iPlayer

The BBC have updated the BBC iPlayer app for Android. The update returns Favourites to the app and improves loading times. Still no download option a feature that is in the iOS version but the BBC say they are working on that at the moment.

Also updated is the BBC Media Player app which iPlayer uses as a media player. This fixes crashing problems, fixes audio playback when a device is rotated and cleans up the UI on JellyBean devices.

Both the iPlayer and Media Player app are free from Google Play

What’s in this version:

Included in this release:
· We’ve re-introduced Favourites – imagine it never went away!
· Image quality and loading times have both been improved.
· As usual we’ve thrown in a number of bug fixes to improve the overall experience.
I know what you’re thinking – ‘Where are downloads?’ Rest assured this feature remains a priority and we are working hard to determine when this can be included for Android users.
