Sonos have updated the iOS version of its music player app and the new version adds playing of content from an iOS device. So you can send music on your iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch to your Sonos system without having to have the music on a host PC.
You need the latest version of the Sonos app and version 3.8.3 of the Sonos System Software. Sonos have also updated the Android version of the app but that doesn’t support the new playing feature.
