Skype have been busily adding Microsoft account support to it’s various clients over the last few weeks and one of the last platforms to get the update is the iOS version.

In Skype 4.2 for iOS there is the support for chatting with Messenger contacts, Hotmail and Outlook.com contacts as well as some UI updates. You can get the app from the iTunes Store

– Chat with Messenger, Hotmail and Outlook.com contacts – just sign in with and merge your Microsoft account.
-New to Skype? Create a new account right from the app.
-Tap and hold on instant messages to edit / delete them.
-Choose an emoticon while typing an instant message.
-Animated emoticons for devices with a Retina display.
-Edit saved phone numbers right from the dial pad.
-Bug fixes.
