UK telecoms regulator Ofcom have given Everything Everywhere (T-Mobile and Orange) permission to use it’s existing network bandwidth for 4G services.  Everything Everywhere can offer 4G services from September this year with auctions of the 4G bands for other operators taking place next year. It could be good timing for Everything Everywhere with the rumoured release of a new iPhone in September.

“Ofcom’s decision to make 4G available this year is great news for the UK. Consumers will soon be able to benefit from the much greater mobile speeds that 4G will deliver. 4G will drive investment, employment and innovation and we look forward to making it available later this year, delivering superfast mobile broadband to the UK.”
