Sony Reader ebook store finally opens in the UK

Sony have finally opened their ebook store for UK users. The store that should have been opened last year has a fairly wide collection of books in the ePub format but unlike Amazon’s Kindle you can’t send books from the web site to a eReader, you have to either purchase on the device on use their PC application.

Most of the books I checked were priced at the same price as Amazon and they have apps for the PC, Android and iOS so it could be alterative to Amazon’s platform.
