At the end of last year Roku released a remote control app for iOS and now they have an Android version. With the app you can launch Roku channels, navigate the player and control playback. if you have a Roku device and an Android phone it’s a no brainer.

You can get the app for free from the Android Market. Have any of you picked up a Roku device?

Turn your Android device into a control center for your Roku streaming player. Launch your Roku channels, navigate your Roku player, control media playback and find new channels to enjoy.

Our free application lets you:
• Launch or rate any Roku channel with a tap of your finger.
• Use a touch remote control. Includes instant replay, back and options buttons as well as a keyboard for text entry.
• Easily browse hundreds of channels and games in the Roku Channel Store.
• Quickly add and remove channels to/from your Roku player.
• Control and switch between multiple Roku players.

Works with all Roku players. To get started, you must connect your Android device to the same home network as your Roku player. You will be asked to sign-in to your Roku account.

Note: If the app does not find your Roku player, try turning on/off Wi-Fi on both your Roku player and your Android device.
