We don’t normally cover iPhone accessories but as a podcaster this is one that caught my eye. The iRig from IK Multimedia is a compact little mic for the iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch that enables audio recording and editing. It has a unidirectional mic with fits on the top of the phone and would be great for recording interviews. While you can record audio on the iPhone using the built in mic the quality is not great and I have found it picks up a lot of background noise so this could be great while at trade shows like CES. I am going to pop over to see IK later so hopefully I can get a demo.
