Firecore have released a new version of the Media Player app for the Apple TV (2nd gen device). Version 0.9 adds new features, bug fixes and performance updates. Media Player now supports automatic fetching metadata for TV Shows including episode name, cast, director, genre, air date, content rating and episode thumbnails.
If you have aTV Flash installed on your Apple TV you can get the new version of Media Player by going to Maintenance/Manage Extra Menu. If you don’t have it you can order it from Firecore
