I switched to using Google Chrome for web browsing last year after being fed up with the slow performance of IE8 so I was really interested to try the new beta of Internet Explorer 9, Microsoft promised to make web sites shine with improved performance and new features.
I have just downloaded it and so far it does feel a big improvement over IE8. I am not going to go in to what is new about IE, Ed Bott has a really good post up about the new browser so I recommend heading over to his ZDNet blog to find out what is new and in the mean time you can download the beta from Microsoft
