At the UK  Media Center and WHS user group event last on June 12th  I promised to upload the video used in my DVBLink presentation. As the video doesn’t have any audio – it was recorded using screen capture – I have added annotations to the screens to capture some of the commentary I made at the event.

Now anyone who was there on that saturday will know I was having some issues with the speed the video was playing at and it was running at about 1/3rd speed which made for an interesting time with my prepared commentary but hopefully with the excellent help of Mark Lawson from DVBLogic we managed to cover that.

Hopefully this version will play at normal speed and will give you a really good walkthrough of the DVBLink setup. (warning it is 261mb and 46 minutes long)

Watch on Blip TV

I will update this post with other video versions shortly

Edit: the embedded video wasn’t workingso I’ve changed it to the link

  1. I don’t have mine set up in WHS so it is difficult for me to produce a walkthrough. Working with WHS is not really any different. You would obviously skip the in Media Center setup stages on the server box. You do need a running Media Center box on your network so that DVBLink can see the Guide Data. You also have to have a compatible tuner which has drivers that install on WHS. I would take a look at the post Jason (DatabaseJase) started over at the DVBLogic forums to see what tuners people are using in WHS. Jason also did a blog post here about DVBlink in WHS which you should be able to search for. Hope that helps Garry.
