1Geek1Tool have taken DVBLogic’s SDK for DVBLink and produced something which I know will excite many of our US readers. To quote the release:

DVBLink for ATSC&QAM 1.0B1

June 15th, 2010

Here it is, for us, North American users, a way to get our ATSC/ClearQAM signal out of the box!

Using DVBLink for ATSC&QAM, you can now bring the signal straight from your ATSC/QAM card (like the Hauppauge HVR 1250) to the DVBLink tuners. Combined with DVBLink’s NWP, you can “share” your tuners across multiple computers and even stream directly to a web browser!

This version is the first beta and has the following limitations:

  • The EIT packets (guide data sent over the air) are not yet forwarded to Media Center
  • You might get a No Tuner Created message when scanning. In this case, try scan a second time.
  • If you have DVBLink Server 2.X or 3.X installed, you can hit “Skip” when the installer asks you to update your DVBLink Server.

An installation guide should follow shortly. In the mean time, you can download and try the software.
