Hello and welcome to everyone who is reading this, just wanted to do a short intro post to tell you a little bit about me and what to expect from this blog.

First off some of you will already know me, I have been an active blogger for a few years now and also been a guest on The Media Center Show back in July talking about Mobile Phones and mobility in general, in fact I have been a guest on many podcasts mostly Mobile Phone related.

I set up the site Mobile Tech Addicts where I posted daily news items as well as reviewed a lot of the latest Smartphone’s and hosted the weekly podcast.

I have taken a back seat from the site after the birth of my first (and only, wife’s words not mine!) child in June last year and during that time my interests have taken an unexpected turn and I now find myself more interested in home entertainment and streaming video.

I always had a small interest in Windows Media Center from around 2005 but for me it never made it to the living room but was always kept out of the families reach in my study. From there it progressed to an Xbox 360 with media on a USB hard drive, then to streaming media from a Windows PC to multiple Xbox 360’s, now I am working with the latest Popcorn Hour C-200 Networked Media Tank system connected to a Windows Home Server, that is where my big interest now lies.

Hopefully over the next few months I will share my experiences of getting the system where I want it to be, in the living room and used by all the family without them complaining that it is too complicated to use, from there it is going full steam ahead into everyone’s bedrooms for a fully networked home video distribution system.

Chris.
